This property, first established by Dr. Charlie Mayo and then expanded by his son, Dr. Chuck, is easily one of the classiest barn venues in Minnesota. What started as a hobby farm and party place for Rochester’s Mayo Family is now a sought-after wedding venue, thanks in part to the European style architecture (which can be seen prominently in the stables) and the vast and stunning property. GATHERED OAKS

There is so much that can be said about this Minnesota barn venue, so I will keep it short. This spot in Alexandria is the epitome of the modern farmhouse, and it seamlessly combines trendy minimalism with warm rustic vibes. Photo locations are too many to count (the lake! The pines! The buildings! The field!) and Gathered Oaks offers the absolute cutest on-side lodging with their Grain Bin Houses. Honestly, check them out.

CREEKSIDE FARM

I like to say this property–located one hour north of the Twin Cities in Rush City–is a photographer’s dream…and it kind of is: The owner was a photographer, and a lot of what she experienced in that career influenced how she designed this space. It is open and expansive, but yet feels very intimate and homey. Located on 50 acres, there are numerous ceremony sites available, each one gorgeous. See more about them here!

BARN IN THE WOODS

One of the newest Minnesota barn venues, this gem in Bovey is sure to make big waves in the wedding industry. Tucked away off the main drag of Highway 169, is isn’t too far from anythingAn expansive space with ample windows, it is filled with natural light. The property is getting more and more gorgeous with every visit I make, and I cannot wait to see where it goes. Find them online here.

WILDERNESS WEDDING BARN

The most northerner of the favorites, this Bigfork barn is quickly gaining a solid reputation and is a fan favorite Minnesota barn venue. It is the most rustic of the properties, and is the stereotypical red barn, and she is a beauty. See more here.
