LeAnn and Tyler dreamed of their Lake Superior wedding day. Lakeshores, waterfalls, friends and family. It was everything they wanted, and they couldn’t wait for it.
COVID-19, of course, had other plans.
Instead of the lakeside wedding, the two settled for an intimate ceremony on June 26, 2021. Just the two of them and a handful of friends and family. That was enough for their “I do.”
So the big lake, it was saved for almost exactly one year later when these two renewed the promises they made to each other. As far as Lake Superior days goes, it could not have been more perfect. A partly sunny sky was paired with 60 degree air temperatures; a light wind created little whitecaps, which became beautiful background noise as they hit along the rocks. Their venue of choice, Two Harbors’s Grand Superior Lodge, was all things cozy and quaint while being iconic and classic to the Up North Vibe. Even never-slow, always jammed-pack with people Gooseberry Falls was vacant enough to get all the epic shots this couple could want.
It was absolutely perfect for these two natural adventurers. In their speeches, LeAnn’s sisters were sure to point out that it wasn’t unprecedented for their middle sister to pack up and venture off into the wild on her own, by herself (in fact, that is an end of the school year tradition for this elementary school teacher–she was up the north shore jus the week prior to have that time to herself); she also convinced one sister to head out with her on a backpacking trip of Europe one summer. Tyler, a military reservist himself, knows the thrill of exploration, so it is certain that excitement lies ahead for these two.
