2019 was a record year for Kayla Lee Photography. The KLP Weddings of 2019 were straight out of a dream waiting to come true.
Forty-four of you let me photograph your weddings. You let me fluff your veils and straighten ties, trusted me with your rings, and allowed me to be there for your most important moment of your love story.
I traveled farther than I ever have in a year for you. As of right now, QuickBooks is telling me I traveled over 8,500 miles to your weddings. I went as far north as the boarder with Canada, and I was less that fifty miles from Iowa. I dipped over into North Dakota for a few shots, and I spent lots of time along Lake Superior. After three years of work, I had not one but three weddings in my hometown of Grand Rapids. My county count to twenty-three, meaning I have sixty-four more before I have completely photographed Minnesota (which, yes, is the goal).
There is no way for me to appropriately thank these couples enough for the year they have allowed me to have. Their faith, trust, dedication, and love story have allowed me to have the most amazing time. For these couples, just like all that came before and all that will follow, I am forever grateful! They say a dream deferred is a dream denied, and all my dreams of being a journalist, covering our world’s greatest events have been sitting in the back of my mind, wondering when they would fulfill their purpose and come back to life.
With you, they have. Thank you.
These are just a few of my favorites from the past year. There are many, many more that could be and should be included here, but these are what I feel are the best of the best, the photos that make me feel something when I see them.
