Despite the mid-August mugginess, there was nothing hazy about Lacey and Cody’s wedding day. Yes, it was warm and sticky and kind of icky weather-wise, but when standing on the rocks along the Lake Superior shore holding the hands of your beloved, there is nothing wrong about that. 

 

Lacey and Cody had made their love and their lives home on the western border, where Minnesota meets North Dakota. Spurned by a desire for adventure and the decision to make their big day different, they packed up their nuptials and head all the way across the north country to set up the celebration at the classic Larmsmont Cottages in Two Harbors (Cody himself had never been to this corner of our country before, and now he had been to Two Harbors a handful of times). 

 

And it was quite the celebration. Before their closest friends and family, Lacey and a Cody became husband and wife, but it was so much more than that. Not only did this lovely couple become joined, but so did their children; Daliah and Jace officially became brother and sister, and this sweet foursome officially became a family (even though it was very clear that they were a loving bunch well before the law said they were).
