Photo booths, the nostalgic arcade souvenir, has really taken hold in the wedding market. One of the most common add-ons to events these days are the inclusion of a photo booth. It’s a fun way to entertain guests while providing a tangible result for the couple.
How can you make the most of your photo booth experience? Easy!
- MAKE IT YOUR PHOTO ALBUM
Whether or not your photo booth prints or provides digital images, you can leverage the booth to record who attended and what wishes they send to you. If your photo booth prints, you can easily have them place the printed image into a physical guest book where they could also write a little message. Not printing? No worries! Grab a couple white boards like this and have guest write their message for the capture. Works just as well as a physical guest book–you might even be able to combine them into a sweet little video.
- CREATE A COOL CUSTOM BACKDROP
Sure, your booth rental company or photographer might have one of those sequined sparkly numbers, but crafting up your own custom backdrop might not be a bad idea. First of all, it will add an extra layer of decor to your reception. Second, it is something that will be unique to your celebration and will match your style, which is always a good thing. Thirdly, it is something your guest can use with their phones for selfies should the booth have to leave before the party ends.
- CAPTURE EVEN MORE CANDIDS
I don’t know how everyone else handles photo booth images–I deliver mine with the final gallery–so what I am about to share might not apply with every photo booth vendor. One thing I love about photo booths is that it allows an entirely different kind of candid photo to be captured, so if you really want to have oodles of images of your guest letting loose and being
themselves, a photo booth might be a wise investment (just double check with the company to be sure your get the proofs).
A photo booth is worth considering, especially if you want a little something extra to add to the entertainment of your event! What’s your favorite thing about photo booths?
