The latter is the heart of Lindsey Quast and her husband’s mission as they renovate a historic barn and bring it back to its new life as one of southeastern Minnesota’s newest barn wedding venues. The Barn at Ballard Creek is located south of the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and just a touch southwest of Mankato in the sweet little city of Good Thunder, Minnesota. It is located on over twelve acres of land, and it will, as promised, make your wedding “wedding day Pinterest perfect!”
The property contains a gorgeous big red century-old barn, iconic to the rich farming history of this area of Minnesota. Outside the barn has wonderfully wide and dramatic fields that make any visitor seem far, far away from reality and deep into their dream day. Inside it is the beautiful barnwood that many brides and grooms have come to love for their rustic chic wedding days. The property also contains a bridal cottage that is perfect for any wedding party. Bright lights, white walls, and a touch of modernity mixed with the farmhouse vibe, it is so easy to imagine being surrounded by your friends and family, sipping mimosas, and just waiting for your time to say “I do!”
If the buildings on the premise weren’t enough, every corner of the 12+ acres is wedding photo ready. There are fields, trails, and even additional structures and the occasional piece of antique farm equipment.
