Tim joked during his speech at his wedding reception that never he imagined he would have to move to the Twins Cities to find a girlfriend. He was from the Iron Range—Eveleth born and raised—so he figured a move to the Minneapolis-St. Paul area would be temporary. He would get a little training, do a little working, and then head home. He would come back and he would resume his life.

He just didn’t expect Chelsey. And once she entered the picture, it was never expected that she would relocate north from the only home she’s known. No, that wasn’t possible. It wasn’t expected.

But it is was exactly what happened. 

It was about a year prior when Tim proposed to Chelsey. They loaded up themselves and their dogs into an iconic vintage orange International Harvester truck for a simple ride. That was something they would frequently do when they were spending time up north. Chelsey didn’t think anything more would come from it—it was just another ride in the woods on a gorgeous fall day. Imagine her surprise, then, when it ended with an engagement.

That very vintage truck was center stage again a year and ten days later. All decorated and adorned with large a T & C, lanterns, and leaved, it greeted guests to Tim’s parents garden, the venue for Tim and Chelsey’s ceremony. There was a little rain, a little color in the fall foliage, but a lot of love. There were tears at the first look, there were laughs with the hilarious wedding party, and there were dogs in bowties.
