Joleen and Frank planned for a typical summer August day for their vintage-inspired woodland wedding. It was to be simple, elegant, and all about love. Joleen’s simple hope was that it didn’t rain; it didn’t, and in the absence of raindrops there was the day pf her dreams.
Joleen is one of the few who truly has a lyrical, beautiful, old soul. She is eloquent with her words just she is classic with her style. Joleen had stressed that this classic angle would be the objective in her wedding planning, and she did not disappoint. Her dress was modern minimalist with the retro flair of ruching on the left side and boatneck detail complete with eyelash lace trim. This was paired with a dainty pearl necklace from Julie, her mother, that was worn on her own wedding day. On her fingers Joleen wore a hundred years of wedded bliss as she paired heirloom bands with her own engagement ring.
Frank is the perfect compliment to Joleen’s spirit. Lighthearted and kind, he approaches everything with a grin. It is no surprise that during their portraits there were ample amounts of smiles and copious amounts of kisses. Sentimental, these two are.
Sentimentality carried over to their park ceremony, where they prepared to say “I do” in front of an alter handcrafted by the groom’s father, Frank; he also created their cross for their unity ceremony. The ceremony space was rich with flowers of every shade, a nod to Joleen’s grandmother, a wonderful lady with whom Joleen was especially close and, unfortunately, left too soon to be a part of this important day. An additional nod to her was in the prominent presence of a beautiful orchid who, despite all logic, keeps blooming and gracing Joleen and Frank’s home with bright vibrant buds.
After the ceremony, the couple and their guest dined on a delicious BBQ meal before digging into a beautiful fruit-covered naked cake and celebrating into the night with yard games and laughter.
Congratulations again, Joleen + Frank! Thank you for allowing me to be there for your big day!!
