Kay Wilson of Kay’s Bouquets knows her flowers. They have been a big part of her life; she has been a floral designer for 23 years, and has been a business owner for over half of that time. I hope the couples of south central Minnesota know how lucky they are to have such an amazing vendor in their backyard.
I had the amazing opportunity to work with Kay at Tori + Cody’s Sartell wedding, and I got to see first-hand her attention to detail for her clients. Each boutonniere and corsage came fixed to their own cards, cleanly and classily labeled for each gentleman and gentlelady. The bouquets were so bright and vibrant, clearly assembled with care and consideration (it was a steamy weekend, the second one in June). When I saw Kay, she was tediously and tenderly creating centerpieces at The Grands at Mulligans. As she created swags and trimmed florals for vases, she did nothing but smile, making it so obvious how much she loves what she does. When we first spoke, it was in regards to the absolutely gorgeous collars she had designed for the dogs that would be joining us in St. Joseph for the ceremony. There was no floral arrangement too far-fetched for this vendor.

A simple scroll through Kay’s Facebook feed reveals that love is paired with amazing tastes, too. Every bouquet is unique to the bride who will hold it while being consistent to Kay’s standards. She identifies the flowers, such as the Juliet Roses used in Tori’s florals; there is a variety of textures in her work–from flowers ferns to berries to thistles–really making each arrangement a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
If you are in the south central Minnesota area and seeking a boutique wedding floral experience, contact Kay to set up an appointment to visit her home-based studio to learn about how she can (and will) create a custom experience to make your day extra special.

What a nice spotlight article. You are so good at what you do also. Thanks for the kudos. I can’t wait until our paths meet again!
