Sweet Baby G I NEWBORN

When I met sweet baby Gordon, he was all of two weeks old, but goodness had he developed a little personality in that short amount of time.

However, knowing his fantastic family, I am not surprised. Not in the least.

I photographed Momma Kate and Daddy Rob’s wedding last May, so it was so exciting to hear that adorable couple was going to be welcoming a lovely little one this spring. This little one was going to have it made–with two great parents and three awesome older brothers, Sweet Baby B was one lucky duck before he was even born.

And now that he is here–and has already been for over a month–it is those of us who have got to interact with him who are just as lucky, if not luckier.

The Tuesday afternoon we hung out, he played model, and played it quite well. His supremely talented aunt knows her way around a skein of yarn and created several crocheted outfits that paled in adorableness compared to Gordon. He dozed on and off as his mom worked him in and out of each little accessory, from the owl hat that was just a hoot to the elephant cap that was a trunk load of fun to a sweet set of suspenders that only held us up because Gordon was just so darn cute in them. By the time our time was up, it was obvious that this little man was going to easily be immersed in the most amazing kind of love, because just like the kind I saw at his mom and dad’s wedding,  it was full of heart and humor (which is the best kind of love to be in, no doubt).

See a little bit of that love right here, right now, in the previous face of Baby Gordon…

BEHIND THE LENS

ABOUT KAYLA

At home on the road. Forever-focused on authenticity and the thrilling art of creation; always found in the moments that leave me breathless and in awe.

After fourteen years as a high school educator, I stepped back through a door I thought was closed. Journalism came back into my life. Armed with a Masters of Arts in Communication, I was again challenged and prepared to tell the stories that would become history, but with a twist: It is now your legacy of love that I document. The tension I seek is that from every tear, smile, laugh, and moment of love on your wedding day.
