“It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.”
-e.e. cummings.
Oh goodness, little, lovely Freja…the more your grow, so does your cuteness, intelligence, and pride your parents must feel to know they have you as a daughter. You are clearly coming into your own personality, and it is amazing to see how you change over such little time.
It had been six months since Freja was photographed by my camera, and what a difference a half of year can make in the life of a child!! Not only was she up walking, but she was also chatting up an incredible storm (which thankfully was not of snow, which permitted us to head outside for a seasonal family session a couple Sundays back). Freja can identify the typical hands, shoulders knees and toes (and then some), and she can brush her teeth. Putting away laundry is a daunting task for almost anyone (including this 35-year old who has more overflowing baskets than she would like to admit…at least they are folded. That’s something, right?)…but Freja can put it away better than most adults do. It is amazing the changes that occur with time, but even more so just how fast that time comes and goes.
There are still some awesome aspects of this little lady that have been left alone, untouched by time, however. Her beautiful blue eyes are still as deep and ocean blue as they were the last time. Her hamminess before the camera was just as evident as she smiled and waved as she enjoyed the mild mid-November temperatures in her own backyard. She still loves to cuddle with Mom and Dad, and, as always, is open to an assault of kisses (which she gladly giggles through).
See a touch of the sweetness for yourselves…
