After months of planning, Kayla and Lucas had their St. Paul historic building wedding, and it was a fairytale. 

It was all things worthy of Hans Christian Anderson…and then some. 

The love story of Kayla and Lucas didn’t began in a time long, long ago or once upon a time. It started with a girl seeking someone and, under the guidance of a high school friend/would-be maid of honor Alysha. Kayla took a chance with the dating app Coffee Meets Bagel. That chance led to a date at Minneapolis’s Stone Arch Bridge where she met Lucas, and they both found their future. (This was much to Alysha’s great joy and chagrin, who in her toast ribbed that she is still waiting to find someone as awesome as Lucas on that very app). With one hike down an interesting set of stairs to be together along the shores of the Mississippi River, it was on, and it would be forever.

The love story of Kayla and Lucas would move into the next chapter in a venue that could be considered Minnesota’s castle: The Landmark of St. Paul. Within the Romanesque Revival walls and towers, these two would say “I do” in the Musser Courtile on the first floor. It was in this majestic atrium Kayla’s dad, Doug, gave her away in front of their friends and family. Before the soaring columns the couple held a rose ceremony, presenting each mother with a bloom and a hug. Amongst that ancient architecture, Lucas excitedly out-paced the pastor, leaning in for his first kiss before things were official.  

After it became officially official, these two wasted no time and started to make memories together. These memories included a walk through the this historic building venue for photos as well as a dip into the dusky evening for a few more. The evening then dissolved into dancing and enjoy every one of their first few moments as husband and wife.
