As I write this, Baby Elsie is just over two months old. She might be starting to hold on to toys handed; perhaps she is developing her own sleep schedule and is probably starting enjoy the sound of soothing voices. She, along with her dad David and mom Valeria have no doubt snuggled themselves back into their home as they develop a routine with this lovely little lady…are are probably already wondering where the time has gone. As baby’s first holiday season is upon us, I’m sure it is a seasons of many first for this young family.
I myself cannot help but wonder why time flies. It doesn’t seem like it was all that long ago that the three of us plus Valeria’s awesome sister Paola met and wandered through Schoolcraft State Park for their fall maternity session, but it was already three months ago. Not even a month after that session I got together again with this family (this time not only including Auntie P but also Olga, the super-excited grandma) to celebrate and welcome this sweetheart into her big new world. It was then just a couple weeks after that where we conducted her newborn session, which was just before this newborn family was about to venture home to being their own big worlds no longer just being David and Valeria, but Mom and Dad.
And I do not doubt for one second that they are rocking it as parents. In the times I spent with them up to her arrival, these two seemed so eager to meet her. After she made her big debut, it was clear that they were more than ready to begin their life with her. And now that they are months and miles from those early milestones, I would bet anything they are living their dream with their daughter.
Thankfully, some of those early moments are still here with us….
