APRIL 2024 GOALS

April 5, 2024

April, with its whisper of spring and promise of renewal, beckons us to refresh our intentions and breathe new life into our aspirations. As I stand on the threshold of April 2024, I am filled with a sense of anticipation and excitement for what lies ahead. This month, I am committing to goals that blend the personal with the professional, the spiritual with the practical, all designed to foster growth, creativity, and balance. Here are my April 2024 Goals, each chosen to enrich my journey and inspire those around me.

Daily Use of a Spring-Start Hobonichi Cousin

This April, my trusty Hobonichi Cousin isn’t just an organizer; it’s my creative companion and accountability partner. Or at least I hope it is. I have struggled lately to find the perfect planner, and fingers crossed this is it. It has all the things–monthly pages, weeks that are vertically oriented, and daily journal sheets. I’m hoping that as the pages turn, so do my intentions into actions. Each day, I’ll carve out moments to jot down thoughts, sketch fleeting ideas, and schedule my dreams. It’s about making each day a masterpiece of purpose and productivity. We shall see…

Read the Weekly Parasha

In a bid to deepen my spiritual roots and connect with my faith, I’ll dedicate time each week to read the Parasha (the weekly Torah portion). This ritual is more than reading; it’s a dialogue with history, a meditation on life’s mysteries, and a commitment to continuous learning and reflection. It’s my way of weaving the wisdom of the ages into the tapestry of my everyday life, which is something that I have been missing for the last few months. OK, years.

Launch Wholesale Services with Sew Festive

April 2024 marks a thrilling chapter for Sew Festive as we introduce wholesale services. This leap is fueled by dreams of expanding our reach and enriching celebrations far and wide. I love these products, and I think they deserve a broader audience beyond the markets I can personally attend. It’s about crafting connections, weaving joy into the fabric of special occasions, and embarking on a journey of growth and discovery.

Actually, For Real Meal Plan

This month, I am so over improvisational dining and will be embracing the art of meal planning. It’s about nourishing body and soul, reducing stress, and savoring the joy of homemade meals. This goal is a pledge to mindful eating, creativity in the kitchen, and reclaiming the weeknight dinner as a sanctuary of serenity and togetherness.

Put Phone Away by 9 PM

In an era of constant connectivity, my final goal is a return to simplicity and presence. By setting my phone aside by 9 PM, I’m carving out space for tranquility, for conversations that don’t require Wi-Fi, and for the kind of rest that rejuvenates. It’s a commitment to living fully in each moment and cherishing the world beyond the screen. I do see a noticeable difference in my sleep quality when I reduce my screen time before sleep…so maybe less phone will mean less melatonin gummies. We shall see.

As I embark on these goals, I invite you to join me in reflecting on your own aspirations for April 2024. Together, let’s embrace the possibilities that lie ahead, armed with intention, creativity, and a spirit of adventure. Here’s to an April filled with purpose, passion, and the pursuit of all that brings us joy.

BEHIND THE LENS

ABOUT KAYLA

At home on the road. Forever-focused on authenticity and the thrilling art of creation; always found in the moments that leave me breathless and in awe.

After fourteen years as a high school educator, I stepped back through a door I thought was closed. Journalism came back into my life. Armed with a Masters of Arts in Communication, I was again challenged and prepared to tell the stories that would become history, but with a twist: It is now your legacy of love that I document. The tension I seek is that from every tear, smile, laugh, and moment of love on your wedding day.
