5 FAVORITE 2024 TELEVISION SHOWS

January 26, 2024

I don’t want a ton of TV, but I am beyond obsessed with the shows I do love. There’s something magical about getting lost in another world, and this year’s lineup is truly something to write home about. So grab your popcorn, because I’m about to dish on the “2024 television shows” that are absolutely unmissable!

1. Ghosts: A Hauntingly Hilarious Hit

First up on my radar is “Ghosts.” If you haven’t caught this gem yet, you’re missing out on some serious laughs. It’s a delightful blend of humor and the supernatural, and each episode is like a mini-vacation to a world where the afterlife is as quirky as it gets. I’m all in for another season of spectral shenanigans. Since last year ended in a cliff hanger where one ghost was sucked…away, I’ve been waiting for the answer as to who it was (I bet it was Nigel…but we shall see).

2. Young Sheldon: The Genius Continues

“Young Sheldon” continues to steal my heart. It’s not just about the laughs – though there are plenty – but also about the heartwarming moments and life lessons that Sheldon and his family bring to the table. It’s a feel-good show that never fails to brighten my day. This is the final season, so it’s at least one more time with everyone’s favorite genius.

3. Abbot Elementary: Class is in Session

Then there’s “Abbot Elementary” – a show that’s as educational as it is entertaining. It gives us a hilarious peek into the world of public school teachers (a shocking, hilariously, freakishly accurate peek), and I can’t get enough of its witty and endearing characters. This show is like a recess break I never knew I needed, especially as I am a recovering public school teacher. It’s a feel good half hour of television.

4. Any of the [Blank] That Build America Shows

I was a history teacher, so naturally I love The History Channel. I especially enjoy any of the series that deep dive into the different elements of American society that have created who we are. Be that the Men, Toys, or Foods that built America, they are all so good, and I can’t wait for the new season to begin.

5. Expedition Unknown: Adventures Await

Last but not least, “Expedition Unknown” is on my must-watch list. It’s a show that fuels my love for adventure and the unknown. Watching my TV husband Josh Gates explore the unexplored and discover the undiscovered is the perfect way to satisfy my wanderlust from the comfort of my couch. I know the last season just ended, but with recent news about DB Cooper coming to light, it makes me even more excited and hopeful that Josh will be back soon with more details about my favorite unsolved mystery.

So there you have it, my top picks for 2024 television shows. Whether it’s laughter, learning, or a little bit of both, this year’s TV lineup is set to deliver some serious entertainment.

Happy watching, and may your 2024 be filled with amazing TV moments!

ABOUT KAYLA

At home on the road. Forever-focused on authenticity and the thrilling art of creation; always found in the moments that leave me breathless and in awe.

After fourteen years as a high school educator, I stepped back through a door I thought was closed. Journalism came back into my life. Armed with a Masters of Arts in Communication, I was again challenged and prepared to tell the stories that would become history, but with a twist: It is now your legacy of love that I document. The tension I seek is that from every tear, smile, laugh, and moment of love on your wedding day.
