We all know and love a couple who are high school sweethearts, and maybe you yourself are one part of that kind of cute couple. There might even be middle school sweetheart in our midst. But elementary school sweethearts? That’s a rare one.

That’s the kind of love we get from Ashley and Erick. And it is nothing short of amazing.

Technically they didn’t become official until junior year. After years of hanging out, Erick asked Ashley to prom and that became the segway into their relationship. Sparks were flying prior to then, however, before the couple even knew what it took to light a flame, way back when in elementary school. It was in fourth grade, to be specific, when Erick and Ashley first knew something was happening…and it was good. At first it was masked as hitting messy buns after sports and talks on the bus, but it grew and grew, even beyond that prom night.

Five years later, they wore a whole new formal attire. A new gray suit for Erick, a new white dress for Ashley. Instead of dancing the night away in front of their peers , they danced their first dance as husband and wife in front of friends and family.

And what started in fourth grade was promised forever.
