As Uncle Ed was quoted, we all need to go out and color the world.

The reminder came during the family’s toasts to Casey + Sam. In the Barrel Room of St. Paul’s women-owned brewery, Urban Growler, Sam’s sister and brother and Casey’s dad regaled fellow friends and family with stories that made it very clear these two are following Uncle Ed’s wishes and are coloring the world their own way, together.   

Separately, they are the coolest. Casey, a chemical engineer by trade, at one point quit a pretty amazing job to wander around the world for nearly half a year. She put her passport to use, and made some amazing memories along the way. Music Man Sam not only uses his left brain to make and produce some awesome musical compositions, but he is also quite creative in the kitchen. There is a definite balance of logic and creativity, examination and exploration within each of these two individually. 

Because of this, Casey and Sam can make anyone a believer of yin and yang. At its core, that concept describes how clearly opposite forces are actually complementary, interconnected, and interdependent in the world; in addition to that, though, is how they can give rise to each other as they interrelate to one another. There is no doubt that as a couple, they lift one another up. Sam serves as crew when Casey competes in her races. Casey is always there for Sam’s productions and artistic adventures. That support no doubt makes the other better in their pursuits, allowing them to not only color the world, but splash their pigment vibrantly and lively, in their own way…just like the coolest loading dock in town.
