At the end of your wedding day, you look around at your love, your friends and family, and feel so content and amazed at the beautiful day you have all shared.
The next day you’ll see a pile of things you HAD to have and wonder, “What in the world are we supposed to do with these now?!”
Try as you might to reduce your wedding waste, there will undoubtedly be a few things left over that will either collect dust or be collected in a landfill. It doesn’t have to be that way, however. There are many things you can do with your leftover wedding decorations and items:
1. SELL THEM ON FB MARKETPLACE
If you liked something, there is a good chance another couple will like it, too! There are groups all over Facebook dedicated to selling used/unwanted wedding items, it might be worth your while to post them there to see if anyone else wants to give them a second shot.
2. DONATE THEM
This is especially true for weddingwear. If you know your bridesmaids won’t wear their dresses again, it might be worth donating them to a formalwear consignment shop. This way it can live on again as a bridesmaids dress or prom dress for someone who wants to be elegant but is on a budget.
3. GIFT THEM
There are some pretty cool wedding decorations out there that could be upcycled or reinvented into something new (I wouldn’t be mad if I received one of these trendy geometric centerpieces as a present…). Floral arrangements can be gifted to local hospitals as a way to brighten someone’s day.
What other ideas do you have to share with the group? What else can you do with your well loved wedding decor?
