Wedding photography is a lot reading between the lines. Instead of lines, however, it is moments. With my training in both fine art portraiture as well as the tenants of photojournalism, I know not only what looks good on camera, but also where those secret, meaningful moments that otherwise will go missing live. Knowing that both posed and candid have a time and place at your celebration--and knowing when and where each are most applicable--gives your gallery a well-rounded vision AND feel.

The same approach as with everything: Communication. Hopefully starting here on this website you see that I don't like to leave any word stone unturned, any question unanswered. That will hold true through your photography experience; from your custom quote to the KLP Wedding Experience magazine that comes after booking to the chats/emails/questionnaires/apps (yes, apps!) that come before and after your celebration, I strive to make sure you know I am always here for you in any way I can. 

There is always a sneak peek on social media (and in your inbox) within 72 hours, along with other breadcrumbs of your gorgeous gallery in the days the follow. Final fully gallery deliver will be in four to six weeks after the event date.

Weddings in Minnesota and bordering states (North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Michigan) will not incur any additional travel fees. Elsewhere in the United States and worldwide will be negotiable depending on travel and visa requirements. That is far from set in stone, as I am more than flexible and willing to take workcations for your celebration.

In addition to being one of Minnesota's few hybrid photographers (meaning I use digital and film cameras), I adore fine design, and it is an additional service that can be added a la carte to any package. This includes anything under the banner of a design suite (save the dates, invitation, table numbers, thank you cards, programs, menus, etc.) as well as heirloom albums and photo books. You don't have to ask me twice to be down to design, which is something that is known to be uniquely KLP.  

The typical payment schedule is a non-refundable retainer of $1500 to reserve the date with the remaining balance due one month before. That is, however, completely flexible and can be adapted to any budget. Payments can be made via credit card or ACH/Bank transfers via the payment portal in HoneyBook (think PayPal for creatives). 

I have photographed weddings in every corner of Minnesota and have seen nearly every form and style of venue. Barns, wineries, mansions, historic buildings, hotel ballrooms, backyards, lakeshore, fields...the list is as varied as what the Land of 10,000 lakes has to offer. I welcome the variety, and love knowing how to do my job in any photographic scenario in which I might find myself (meaning I can do the best by you, for you).
